LICENSING COMMITTEE
ELECTION NEXT MONTH Nominations for the Timaru and Temuka Licensing Committees’ election, which will be held on March 14, close on Tuesday, and it is understood that in each case the existing members have been nominated. It is 10 years since an election was held. The Timaru Licensing Committee comprises Messrs G. Bowker, A. S. Bird, D. McLennan, J. P. Newman and Donald Grant. Members of the Temuka Committee are Messrs G. Hancock, M. F. Maze, A. W. Buzan and W. E. Evans. It is understood that Mr P. M. McKenzie, of Geraldine, has been nominated to contest the vacancy caused by the death of Mr J. R. Lack.
Mr H. Morgan S.M., is the chairman of each committee.
