SOUTHLAND TEAM FOR ROTORUA By Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, January 13. The following team has been selected to represent Southland at the junior and intermediate championships at Rotorua at the end of the month:— Girls —Joyce Macdonald ,N. Dixon, B. Westerly, S. Brown, M. Gerrard. Boys—J. Cameron, D. Kirkland. Competing in the 50 yards’ junior girls’ backstroke trial, B. Westerby swam brilliantly to record 36 2-ssec, eclipsing the New Zealand record, which is 37 2-ssec.
