LITTLE DUTCH GIRL
,'retty little Dutch girl. Off to see the fair; Cheeks a-glow, hair a-curl, Colour everywhere. Flecks of summer skies— The purest shades of blue— Sparkle in her eyes, And on her dresses, too. Tints of sunset glow Upon her laughing face; Her twinkling feet below. Clatter as they race Along the cobbled streets As she hurries to the fair— And everyone she meets Must turn around to stare.
