Opening Carnival Held Results of Events Swimmers from Timaru and Ashburton attended the opening carnival of the Temuka Swimming Club which was held in the Domain Baths last night. The carnival was a success in every way. Efficient organisation resulted In the events being run off to schedule in spite of the fact that some of them had to be decided in several heats. 3 The opening ceremony was performed by Mr P. F. Coira, chairman of the National Committee of Swimming and Life Saving, who extended best wishes to the club. He referred briefly to the Learn to Swim Campaign and
