MOTOR LORRIES COLLIDE By Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, November 7 Frank Anderson, a cartage contractor of Winton, aged 33, married, was killed this afternoon when a lorry he was driving met another on a bend in a violent collision. Anderson’s lorry was heavily loaded with sawn timber, and when it struck the other lorry carrying a heavy load of fertiliser, the timber was hurled forward, wrecking the cab and jamming Anderson against the steering wheel. The cab had to be completely torn oil before Anderson could be removed. He was a prominent footballer a few years ago( being a member of the Southland team which won the Ranfurly Shield from Wairarapa in 1929.
