GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL NJOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Geraldine County Council held on the Tenth Day of October, 1938, the Council resolved to raise a Special Loan of TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED POUNDS (£2,400) under the provisions of Section 6 of the Main Highways Amendment Act 1927 for the purpose of providing the Council’s proportion of the cost of the reconstruction of the Manse Bridge over the Temuka River on the Temuka-Pleas-ant Point Main Highway and that the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a special rate of one-ninetieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Geraldine County, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and that the said loan shall be for a period of twenty-six years or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the rate of interest on the said loan shall not exceed 31 per centum per annum subject to the provisions of the said Act, and that at the expiration of the period during which interest Is payable the liability of the said Council shall cease without further payment and that the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and that no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the’ said loan shall be paid out of loan money, and that it is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the same including advertising expenses. A Meeting of the Council will be held on Monday the Seventh day of November, 1938, to adopt a Resolution confirming the Special Order. DATED this Eleventh day of October, 1938. A. A.
