CREMIN NARROWLY DEFEATED Jack Cremin, formerly of Timaru showed good form at the opening of the board track season in Melbourne 1' c week, when he was narrowly defeated by Keith Rowley (Maffra) who rode off 115 yards in a threequartermile handicap. Cremin rode of the 20 yard mark, and made a good race of it, but was defeated by half a wheel. There was a good field.
