WEDDING
MOYES—VUCETICH The marriage of Catherine Freida, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. G. Vucetich, Nile Street, and Robert James, son of Mr and Mrs J. Moyes, Te Weka, Street, took place yesterday afternoon at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Highfield, the Rev. James Baird officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of cream thumb-marked slipper satin, made on classical lines. The bodice, with high points at the neck-line, was trimmed with pearl embroidery, the embroidery being repeated on the sleeves and train. Her hand-embroidered veil was held in place by a head-dress of lily of the valley, and she carried a sheaf bouquet of the same flowers. Miss Joyce Vucetich, sister of the bride, was the only bridesmaid, and Mr D. Moyes was best man. Miss Vucetich’s trained frock of honey-gold chiffon was cut on Grecian lines. Her headdress and bouquet were composed of shaded anemones. The guests were later entertained at the Bay tea rooms, where they were received by Mr and Mrs Vucetich, the latter wearing a black wool georgette coat inset with wool lace over a black frock patterned in cyclamen tones, and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of tulips. Mrs Moyes (mother of the bridegroom) wore an ensemble of wine coloured wool georgette, the coat being trimmed with a laced loop effect. She wore a brown straw hat and carried a bouquet of freezias. For travelling the bride wore a navy pin-striped tailored suit with hat to match.
