RADIO SIGNS ON CARCASS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright LONDON, October 30. An Innovation in the Antarctic whaling grounds whither has departed from Southampton the German whale factory ship Unitas, of 21,846 tons, the world’s largest, as mother ship to 10 vessels, will be the attachment to the carcass of each dead whale an automatic radio beacon emitting periodic signals indicating its whereabouts in bad weather.
