GOWN WITH HISTORY
ARCHBISHOP JULIUS’S REGALIA By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, October 31. When the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, appears at functions where it is incumbent on him to wear the regalia of a doctor of law—the honorary degree conferred on him at Cambridge University—he will don a gown with an interesting history. The gown is that of the late Archbishop Julius, who also held the honorary doctorate of law of Cambridge. The gown was presented to Mr Nash by representatives of the Julius family yesterday, and Mr Nash wore it for the first time at a memorial service to Archbishop Julius. "It was a great honour and I deeply appreciate it,” said Mr Nash.
