WINCHESTER
LANTERN LECTURE Miss Davies, of Woodbury, gave an interesting lantern lecture on the Coronation in the Winchester Victoria Hall, the proceeds going to the Women’s Institute. There was a good attendance and at the conclusion Mr W. Priddle, on behalf of the members of the Women's Institute, proposed a vote of thanks to Miss Davies for her interesting lecture. After supper, a dance was held, music being supplied by Miss Hoare. Miss M. Blissett played extras. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss L. Gudsell r.nd Mr Tiplady. Mr W. J. Jackson was M.C. LABOUR PARTY DANCE There was a very large attendance at a dance held under the auspices of the Temuka Labour Party. Extras were played by Mr S. B. Cross. Novelty dances were won by Mr L. McFarlane and partner; Miss Neville and partner, and two silver cups were won by Mr F. Kelland and partner. Mr W. J. Jackson was M.C. PERSONAL Miss Molly De Renzy who has been spending a holiday in the North Island has returned to Winchester.
