AUSTRALIAN STOCK EXCHANGES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 30, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 30. A complete recovery in stocks was generally recorded, indeed the activity and buoyancy was most pronounced, combined with a very heavy turnover

RISE IN PRICES STOCK EXCHANGE MOVEMENTS United Press Association—By Electric Teleeranh -Copyright LONDON, September 29. Tire rise in prices on the London Stock Exchange is disproportionate to the amount of business. It is still difficult to obtain reliable quotations; even giltedged are wide. Sterling is also stronger. Dollars, at one time offered from all sides, were absorbed by the exchange fund. An interesting feature of the bank return is a rise of over £21,000,000 in the note circulation, reflecting partly minor hoarding, but chiefly the preparations of the banks themselves are making to meet emergencies.
