The War Department has awarded a 10,000,000 dollar contract for rapid-fire anti-aircraft guns sufficient to equip 32 regiments, for the defence of key cities. The guns will be mounted on mobile units capable of a speed of 50 miles an hour. They are to fire French 75 millimetre shells to a height of 30,000 feet.
