Tobacco has been abused and reviled by some all through the centuries but continues to delight a world that could no more do without it than it could do without food. It certainly has its points. As the author of that amusing book “Sane Slick” puts it, “tobacco has made more good men, good husbands, kind masters and indulgent fathers than any other blessed thing on this universal earth.” As to the harmfulness of smoking, it was the considered opinion of the late Professor Huxley that there’s no more harm in a pipe of good tobacco than there is in a cup of tea. The Professor said “good tobacco” mark you, and there is no country in the world where better tobacco can be found than N.Z., where the now famous brands Cut Plug No 10 (Bullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog), Cavendish, Riverhead Gold ano Desert Gold are grown and manufactured.
