LATEST ADVICES The Port was comparatively quiet yesterday, only three vessels, the Cornwall, the Waikoualti and the Port Waikato being worked. The Waikouaiti left yesterday evening for Lyttelton and Sydney, and the Cornwall is scheduled to sail to-morrow for Wellington to continue loading for London. The Wainui from Bluff, via Dunedin and Oamaru. is expected to arrive on Wednesday to load the same day tor Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Waiana is due on August 22 from Dunedin to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The Holmdale, which is now due tomorrow from Oamartl, is to leave on Monday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Plcton and Wanganui. The Holmlea is expected from Dunedin on Tuesday and is to leave the same day for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads. The Breeze from Dunedin, is now expected to-morrow to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. The Gale, also from Dunedin is to arrive on Tuesday to load for Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui. Montreal Aotivit; A total of 1,051 ships visited Montreal in May this year, a figure which has been exceeded only once for the month of May—in 1927, when 1,083 ships entered the port. Arrivals of oceangoing vessels numbered 238 in May this year, whereas the May, 1927, total included 237 oceangoing vessels. Tanker South Africa The Norwegian tanker South Africa cleared Richmond, California, on July 22 for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on Monday next, and here on August 24 to complete discharge. Warning to Mariners The Marine Department advises that the Napier Harbour Board reports that a red flashing lighted buoy is adrift from Auckland Rock. It will be replaced as soon as possible. Melbourne Star from Brisbane Cabled advice has been received that the Blue Star Line motor ship Melbourne Star left Brisbane last Friday for Bluff, where she arrived on Wednesday to commence her Homeward loading. City of Winchester Leaves New York The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the A. and A. Line steamer City of Winchester left Philadelphia on July 23, New York on July 31, and Newport News on August 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on September 2. Port Wyndham at London The Port Line has received cabled advice tht its motor ship Port Wyndham reached London last Thursday She left Auckland on July 2 for London via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. The Korowai The Union Company has received advice that its new steamer Korowai, en route from the United Kingdom to New Zealand on her maiden voyage, has been delayed by bad weather in the Indian Ocean, and was due at Fremantle yesterday. From there she will proceed to Melbourne and Wellington The Korowai has phosphates from Safaga Bay for discharge at Wellington, and is now duo there on August 23.
