Kilberis, who beat Silver Sight in the Longbeach Hurdles, is a Kilbroney gelding trained at Te Rapa by M. J. Carroll. He races in the same ownership as Bryce Street. His last previous win was in the Campbell Hurdles (2 miles), the open event on the final day of the Great Northern meeting, and on breeding and performances he has good prospects of staying the long journey next week. • * • • Wild Talk, who won the maiden event at the Christchurch Hunt meeting by outstaying the pacemakers Master Dingle, Remembo and Arrownilla, is a two-year-old filly by Winning Hit from Babel, and was bred by Sir Charles Clifford. Her only previous appearance in public was made at the Westport meeting a fortnight earlier. Babel is by The Ace from Scrimmage, and is a half-sister to Trench Fight and Fracas. Wild Talk returned a useful dividend, but the price would have been long had she not been bracketed with Keen Sight.
