The South Canterbury selection committee to comply with the wishes of the Management Committee have selected the following emergencies for the South Canterbury team against North Otago at Oamaru to-morrow: W. McCully, P. Gale (Temuka), G. Wright (Waimate) and K. Blyth (Geraldine). J. Vucetich (Star) has been selected to replace G. Wright (Waimate) in the threequarter line. TOUR OF FIJI MAORI TEAM SELECTED By Telegraph Ptpsf WANGANUI, July 21 The following New Zealand Maori team has been selected to tour Fiji in August: Full back: J. Broughton (Taranaki). Threequarters: E. Hohapata (Bay of Plenty), D. Kutia (Poverty Bay), H. Steele (Otago), J. Murray (Hawke’s Bay), G. Ngaia (Taranaki). Five eighths: Iwi Repa (East Coast), J. Wetere (Taranaki), E. Howell (Bay of Plenty). Half back: W. Kaipara (Bay of Plenty). Forwards: E. Wordley (North Auckland), J. Leach (Poverty Bay), B. Davis (King Country), A. Kenny Wellington), D. Matthews (Wanganui), D. Tuhoro (East Coast), C. White (North Auckland), P. Smith (Hawke’s Bay), Mason McDonald (Marlborough). The team will play Wanganui at Wanganui on August 6, and will sail for Fiji on August 9.
