July 17. ; Though the measles epidemic ap- ■ peered to be easing off in most parts of Wellington, it was increasing .:i the ; Hutt Valley, said Dr F. S. Mclean. Medical-Officer oi Health, Wellington, to-night. There was every likelihood of the disease remaining prevalent for another month or two. Evidence of the severity of the outbreak is shown by the fact that since midnight on Friday. 12 persons, including two adults, have been taken to hospital suffering from pneumonia oi ether measles complications. Six oi that number were taken to-day.
