BRITAIN’S EMERGENCY' PURCHASES United Press Association—By Elect-'c Teiegrapu—Copyright (Received July 15, 11.45 p.m.) LONDON, July 15. The supplementary civil estimates total £9,015,000. of which £8,500,000 goes in the purchases of whea\ sugar and whale oil, already made. Also fer further purchases of foodstuffs against an emergency the sum of £150,000 is earmarked for the bacon industry, the bulk of the balance being devoted to milk marketing, and the British share of the withdrawal of volunteers from Spain, and relief of child refugees
