Interviewed in Paris by the newspaper “Le Soir,” Dr. Alexis Carrell appeals to the public to respect Colonel C. A. Lindbergh's privacy on his island as "he has become hyper-sensitive and needs quietude and forgetfulness.” Dr. Carrell ridiculed reports that Colonel Lindbergh had a bodyguard and also denied that he contemplated politics, or candidacy for the United States Presidency. It was reported in April that Colonel Lindbergh had bought the small rocky island of Illiec on the north coast of Brittany on which is a feudal style chateau in which it is expected that Colonel and Mrs Lindbergh will spend the summer. Illiec is connected at low tide with Cum Island, St. Gildas, where lives the surgeon, Dr. Alexis Carrell, with whom Colonel Lindbergh is co-operating in the invention of an artificial heart
