SUPPLY FALLS OFF
THREE DAIRY FACTORIES TO CLOSE DOWN By lelegrupu- Association NEW PLYMOUTH, July 14. Three dairy factories in North Taranaki are to close down before the new season opens. The co-operative companies concerned are the Tarata. Kaimiro and White Cliffs. The decision in each case has been made necessary because of decreasing supply rendering it uneconomic to carry on. The decreased supply is said to be due to the difficulty of securing farm labour. This has caused some farmers to abandon dairy terming, while others have installed separators and are supplying cream to .lie larger butter factories. Increased costs also are said to bear heavily, especially on small cheese
