DISTRIBUTION OF £617,892 By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 14. Additional payments on butter and cheese purchased during the 1937-38 season under the guaranteed price plan will be made to-morrow morning by the Primary Products Marketing Department. The Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, stated in an interview this evening that the total sum to be paid out would be £617,892/9/4. This amount will be distributed as follows.— £ s. d. Auckland 368,723 2 4 Wellington 137,655 18 10 New Plymouth .. .. 66,422 16 3 Dunedin 25,080 11 11
The payments to be made, said Mr Nash, were in accordance with the Order-in-Council Increasing the guaranteed price. This order had just been approved by the Executive Council. The increased payments would amount to ,41d per lb the butter and .21 per lb of cheese on produce manufactured on and after August 1, 1937, and exported up to and inclusive of the series of shipments sailing about June 30.
