VIOLATION OF AMERICAN CIVIL LAW United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, July 12. An important case arising from the alleged activities of Nazi organisations in the United States, was heard in Court when six officers of the socalled German-American Settlement League, having thousands of members, were convicted of violating the State civil rights law. Each was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment, which, with the exception of the president was suspended and they were fined 500 dollars. The League was fined 10,000 dollars. Evidence showed that members took an oath of allegiance to Herr Hitler.
