ECCENTRIC COMEDIAN’S ARREST United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright OKLAHOMA CITY, July 10. An apparently innocent man, later identified as Woody Hockaday, a harmless eccentric, who had tried to get a better view of President Roosevelt when he was passing in an automobile, was arrested when the crowd, misunderstanding his forward movement, started to attack him. Secret Service officers released Hockaday when they had searched him and discovered no weapons. Hockaday said: “I am a well-wisher of the President.” Mr Roosevelt is touring the country on his Congressional campaign.
