IMPORTANT CONFERENCE IN AUSTRA IA United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copvrtpht (Received July 11. 9-40 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 11The railway comm sioners of Australia opened a conference at Sydney attended by Mr G. H. Mackley (New Zealand). The subjects for discussion include the co-ordination of rail practice, uniformity in fares and freights and methods of dealing with road transport competition. The conference will continue until Saturday.
