LEGAL PUZZLE

WIFE CONFUSED BY HUSBAND’S DOUBLE United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph —Copy rtgli t (Received July 11, 11.40 p.m.) PARIS, July 11. The divorce judges at Nancy are pondering over a novel petition by the wife of one of twin brothers, proprietors of a shop, over which the trio reside. The wife pleads that the brothers are indistinguishable and she often finds herself endearing and chiding the bachelor brother, whose lady friend makes the same mistake toward the woman’s husband. The wife declared that seeing double made her dizzy and she left home. The judges are perplexed whether this constitutes a grave injury, which is the only ground upon which divorce can be allowed. The problem is more complicated by the brothers’ refusal to break a lifelong companionship.
