Bay of Plenty Team Arrives Side Announced The Bay of Plenty Rugby touring side arrived in Timaru yesterday afternoon from Dunedin and are staying h; the Dominion. They were met by the president of the South Canterbury Union (Mr J. H. Harley), the secretary (Mr F. J. Cook) and officials of the Union. The visitors who play South Canterbury to-morrow will train at Fraser Park at 10 o’clock this morning. The team are under the management of Mr T. Anderson, while Mr W. J. Wallace, a former All Black is the coach. The team to play South Canterbury will be: Full-back:: T. Rayment (12.4). Threequarters: I. Riini (10.9), R. Lees (13.4), E. Hohapata (13.2). Transport will leave Clark’s corner at 1 p.m. MAORI TOUR OF FIJI MANAGERS APPOINTED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 16 The Council of the New Zealand Rugby Union appointed Mr S. S. Dean (Welington) and Mr Harding Leaf (North Auckland) to be managers of the New Zealand Maori team, which is to visit Fiji this season. Mr Dean said that in his case the appointment was subject to his acceptance. He added that at the present time whether he would accept the position or not was quite indefinite. ASSOCIATION Central v.
