MIMATUR : RIFLES Miss P. Collins was the winner of the trophy at the weekly shoot of the Winchester Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club. Miss L. Priddlc won the weekly button. The scores were:—Miss L. NATIONAL PARTY The annual meeting of the Winchester Branch of tl e New Zealand National Party was held on Wednesday evening. The president. Mr J. L. StoneWigg presided over a large attendance of members. A motion of sympathy with Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P.. in his recent bereavement was carried in si'ence. Mr J. E. Trimen (hon. secretary) presented the annupal report .nd balance-sheet which were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Chairman, Mi J. L. StoneWigg; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. E. Trimen: committee. Messrs C R. Barnett. N. G. Barker. D. C. Scott, R. Maddren, B. Trumper, W. Mcßride, F. Mcßride. A. Bisdee, A. H. M. Bair. F. South. J. C. South. J. L. Greenall. H. M. Fisher. S R. Muff. W. Priddle, S. F. Pemberton. E. W. Palmer, W. H. McFarlane. Commander Boyle; delegates to electoral committee, the chairman. Messrs C. R. Barnett, W. McBride and S. W. Trim per. After the annual meeting a general meeting was held to which the members of the ladies’ branch were invited to hear addresses given by Mrs W. McKay and Mr E. H. S Hamilton, of Christchurch. Mr Stone-Wigg in introducing the speakers, said they all very pleased to have Mrs McKay and Mr Hamilton with them that ever ng. At the conclusion of the addresses. Mr J. C. South proposed a vote of thanks to Mrs McKay for her address and on the motion of Messrs I . Trumper and C. R. Barnett. Mr Hamilton was accorded a vote of thanks for his address. Mr Stone-Wigg proposed a vote cf thanks to the ladies for the excel'mt supper they provided. The motion was 1 carried by acclamation.
