ACCIDENT PROVES FATAL

Boy Dies From Injuries Father Seriously Hurt Kevin Shea, 15 year old son of Mr Walter Shea, 54 Craigle Avenue, died yesterday morning as a result of the injuries he received in an accident on Wednesday night. The lad, who was a cripple, suffered severe head injuries when a car, which was driven by Mr Robert Monson, crashed through the Otalo River bridge. He was admitted to Timaru Hospital on Wednesday night in a serious condition which gradually grew worse, death occurring yesterday morning. The boy’s father, who was also a passenger in the car, received fairly severe injuries, including a broken shoulder and shock, and was on the seriously ill list at Timaru Hospital yesterday. Last night it was reported that his condition had shown a slight improvement. Mi - Monson, who received shoulder injuries and cuts, is not seriously ill and was stated to be in a satisfactory condition last night.
