Senator Moran, who has made a round of inspection of Durban Harbour, expressed the opinion that the harbour development work now in hand would revolutionise the port. He was particularly impressed by the construction of “T” shaped jetties and the plans which are being formulated for draining the swamps at the head of the bay and building modern wharves where to-day there is nothing but a wilderness of mangroves and mud.
