GRIM MAN HUNT
SEQUEL TO KIDNAPPING United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright PRINCETOWN (Florida). June 1. Abandoning hope for the safe return of Jimmy Cash, there being no word from the kidnappers for 30 hours, hundreds of citizens undertook a grim man-hunt in posses. G-men introduced a dramatic touch into the proceedings when they seized M. F. Braxton, a carpenter, who was waiting to be sworn in one posse, and the G-men declined to give information regarding the step other than that Braxton was being questioned. The G-Men later arrested two unidentified young men. A few hours before the G-Men rushed to New Rochelle to renew the hunt for the kidnapper and murderer of Philip Levine, whose body was found yesterday, James, the 51-year-oid son of J. B. Cash, owner of a chain of petrol stations, was kidnapped fros.i his home here. He is the seventh kidnapping victim since 1932. The child disappeared while his mother was at a nearby petrol station helping her husband count the day’s receipts. Mr and Mrs Cash found two notes demanding 10,090 dollars ransom. One contained a direction to a meeting place for contact. A plane-load of special agents at Princetown has arrived from Washington, but are not interfering in the matter.
