HOME REQUIRED
BURNT OUT SOLDIERS By Telegraph —Press Association WANGANUI, May 31. “The time is not far distant when it will be necessary to provide an institution between the public hospital and the jubilee home for the accommodation of burnt-out soldiers,” said Mr F. G. Seddon, secretary, at to-night’s annual meeting of the Wanganui Returned Soldiers’ Association. This statement was made by Mr Seddon after a discussion on the plight of a member aged 46, who had been sent from the hospital to the home. It was suggested by the secretary that a remit should be forwarded to the conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association proposing that the Government should act in conjunction with the hospital boards in the Dominion in seeking a way to deal with the problem. Another member suggested that the N'Uonal Canteen Fund should be utilised and an institution erected for the purpose of accommodating the aged returned soldiers of the Dominion.
