BRITISH STATESMAN CRITICISED.— Mr Lloyd George visited the Palais des Invalides. Paris, recently, and placed a wreath on the tomb of Marshal Foch. He was accompanied by General Billotte, Military Governor of Pans. The visit was afterwards severely criticised by a leading Parisian newspaper, which said it was “a hypocritical gesture, in which the well-known wizard excels.
