To-morrow at 1.30 p.m. at the Wentworth Auction Mart Runciman Pryor Ltd. will hold an auction sale of superior household furniture on account of Mrs White, including chesterfield, china cabinet, Singer machine, carpets, etc. To-day in their mart Morton and Co., Ltd., will sell on account of the trustees in the estate of the late A. E. Pigeon silver plate, tea and coffee services, dinner sets, glassware, vases and ornaments as advertised in auction columns. Commencing at 1 p.m. to-day at “Maungatua," The Downs, Geraldine, A. N. Oakey and Co. will conduct a clearing sale of household furniture, carpets, Savage electric washing machine and Atco motor lawn mower on account of Mrs C. J. Kerr. The sale will be held wet or fine, Inside the house if wet. A most successful dance was held in the Wentworth Hall, under the auspices of the Timaru Branch of the Labour Party. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Tutton and partner. Messrs Lowry and Earl acted as M.C’s. The prize winners at the euchre tourney held in the Orange Hall last Friday were: Mrs Brehaut, Mrs Deganneh, Mrs Smallridge, Mr Anderson.
