DEFIANCE OF ALBERTA’S LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright EDMONTON, May 4. Mr J. C Bowen has not vacated the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta. He brands the Government’s action as retaliation for his disallowance of the Press Censorship Bill. He declares that he will not leave until the Government presents a proper Order-in-Council for his signature.
