Collie Trials Arrangements are well in hand for the collie trials to be held on the property of Mrs M. Simpson, "The Homestead." The trials, which have been held in the last two years, have been such an unqualified success, that it has been decided to make them an annual

event. The proceeds, this year, are to be given to the Onawa Tennis Club, to enable it to effect much needed improvements at the courts. Luncheon and afternoon tea arrangements are being attended to by the Mount Nessing Women’s Institute. School Building At a meeting of householders, held recently to decide the fate of the Mount Nessing school building, it was agreed, that, owing to the failure to elect a committee of management, no action should be taken. Personal Miss Sylvia Bracefield, who was the guest of Mrs W. Simpson, has returned to Timaru. O Miss Rona Rutherford, Timaru, is spending a short holiday with Mrs G. A. Winter, “Ranui.” Miss Jean Mackenzie is leaving at the end of the week for a holiday on the West Coast.
