PORT OF TIMARU LATEST ADVICES Both the Breeze and Waiana which loaded at Timaru on Saturday for northern ports, were despatched that evening for Lyttelton. The Storm arrived yesterday from Dunedin and is at No. 3 wharf, where she will remain until to-morrow, when she is to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. NOTES The Holmdale is due from Oamaru to-morrow to lift Wellington, Picton and Wanganui cargo and should sail that night for Lyttelton. The Holmglen should be here from Dunedin to-morrow. After loading for Wellington. New Plymouth and Waikato she is to sail for Lyttelton. The arrival of the Karn from Oamaru has been deferred until Wednesday, when she is to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. Brisbane Mani Leaves Japan The O.S.K. Line motor ship Brisbane Marti cleared Osaka on April 1, via Rabaul and Noumea, for Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. She is due at Auckland on April 20 After discharging and loading at Wellington, Dunedin and Lyttelton, she will return to Napier and Auckland to fill up, and is to clear the northern port finally on May 6 for Manila and Yokohama. Kangitane’s Departure The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rangitane is now to leave Wellington at noon on May 7 for London via Panama. Notices to Departure Rocks in Tamagai Strait, Haurasi Gulf, at latitude 36deg 48.8 min south; longitude 174 deg 59 Amin east, haze now been swept over, and the rock situated 269 deg 3.8 cables from the southern extremity of Park Point has been found to have a depth of sft instead of 10ft as previously’ had been reported. A rocky shoal with a depth of 8 fathoms 4ft approximately exists in Colville Channel, Hauraki Gulf, in a position 178 deg 1.22 miles from the light at Channel Island, latitude 36deg 25min south, longitude 175 deg 20min east. A pile-driving machine will be working for some time at the Steeple Rock Beacon. Port Nicholson, at latitude 41 deg 19.4 min south, longitude 174 deg 50.8 min east, during suitable weather, with moorings lying 800 ft north-east-ward, south-eastwa: ', and I,looft northward. A black buoy 3,480 I,looft from the beacon marks the northern mooring. Masters are requested to pass the pile-driver at reduced speed. The bearing of the front light in Camp Bay, Lyttelton, from the trig station is to be amended to 101.5 deg, and the distance of the front beacon on Naval Point reclamation from light on Officer’s Mole Point, to be amended to I,looft.
