COMING-OF-AGE PARTY The Howard Hall was filled to capacity on Saturday night when Mr and Mrs H. S. Pratt gave a party to celebrate the coming of age of their youngest daughter, Hazel. The time was happily spent in dancing and competitions. The winners were: “Matrimonial double," Mr N. Brown. Lucky horseshoe dance Miss Joan Anderson and Mr O. Pratt. Luck spot. Miss M. Galletly and Mr K. Cormack. A clever display of tap -'.ancing was given by Miss Mavis Bax (Ashburton). Mr Mayne delighted with several songs and piano-accordion solos. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr Mayne, extras being played by Miss Ashby, Mrs Scott and Mr W. Fawdray. Messrs K. Rose and F. Heney were masters of ceremonies. Mr F. G. Pratt proposed the health of the guest and Mr H. Pratt presented his daughter with a silver key. Those present were Mr and Mrs F G. Pratt, Mr and Mrs H. E. Pratt, Mr and Mrs L. Pratt, Mr and Mrs A.
