KEEN DEMAND IN LONDON United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 29. At the wool sales 6499 bales were offered, Including 3780 New Zealand; 5527 bales were sold. There was an average selection offered, with a keen demand, and a good clearance was effected. Recent rates were well maintained. New Zealand: Greasy crossbred, “Wharanul” top lojd, average 9id; "Mangatoi,” IOJd and 9id. At the wool sales bales were offered and 9140 were sold as well as 1026 privately. Best descriptions of fleece showed an advance of 5 per cent. Other sorts were unchanged. Greasy merino realised to 233 d per lb. Very keen competition came from Yorkshire.
