FORESTRY LEAGUE
SIR HEATON RHODES IS NEW PRESIDENT By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 30. The Hon. Sir Robert Heaton Rhodes, of Tai Tapu, has accepted the presidency of the New Zealand Forestry League rendered vacant by the death of Mr E. Phillips Turner, the previous holder of the office. This announcement was made at a meeting of the Council of the League and was received with considerable satisfaction. Sir Heaton’s interest in forestry is well-known. He was formerly Minister in charge of the State Forestry Service, and it is expected that his knowledge will prove of great value to the league in Its work.
