JAIN TEMPLE AT CALCUTTA. -Enclosed in a lovely garden and fronted by a mirror like lake, this temple, dedicated to the tenth of the twenty four Tirthamkaras, or prophets, of the Jain sects, is one of the most famous beauty spots of India's second largest city. Among the heretic sects of the Hindu faith, the Jains are the most powerful group in India. Their series of white marble temples on Mount Abu is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
