Mr Samuel Goldwyn predicted the doom of Hollywood unless it ceases manufacturing second-rate movies in wholesale lots. “It is a serious situation when almost anyone able to write his own name can earn a 1000 dollars a week as a scenario writer and nearly anybody if he has sufficient confidence in himself can become a producer,” said Mr Goldwyn.
