WOMEN’S DIVISION
FLOWER SHOW 7 AT KAKAHU A colourful display of many varieties of flowers was provided by members of the Kakahu Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union at their annual flower show held in the schoolroom. During the judging of the exhibits the monthly meeting was held. Mrs Little was welcomed as a new member. Members were reminded that at the March meeting Mrs McCully of Peel Forest would give a talk on Maori lore. After the afternoon tea interval, Mrs Chapman presented Mrs Ashby with a gift in appreciation of the help she had always so willingly given to the Division, all the members being sorry to hear of her departure from Geraldine.
Thanks were extended to Mesdames Cliff, Mitchelmore, Ashby and Undri-.l for judging the exhibits. The prize list was as follows:—three varieties annuals, Misses N. Dean 1, N. Maxwell 2, J. Chapman 3.
