LATE MISS WILLIAMSON

THE FUNERAL The funeral of the late Miss Amy Mildred Williamson, who died suddenly on Sunday night, was held yesterday. The service, which was fully choral, was conducted by the Rev. Canon J. F. Coursey, who officiated at St. Mary’s Church and at the Geraldine cemetery. Miss Amy Hughes was the organist, and the hymns ‘‘Come Gracious Spirit, Heavenly Dove” and “Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken” and Psalm 23, “The Lord is My Shepherd” were sung. As the casket left the church. Miss Hughes played “Largo” (Handel). During the service the vicar gave a short address, in which he expressed the sympathy of the community to Mrs W. W. Williamson and family. A tribute to Miss Williamson, who had frequently given her services as a vocalist at concerts in aid of the Geraldine District Band’s funds, members of the Band, who paraded in mufti without instruments, formed a guard of honour at the cemetery gates.
