SUPPORT OF MUSIC

ROYALTY’S PATRONAGE OF EMPIRE CONCERT British Official Wireless (Received February 18, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, February 17 The King and Queen will attend a concert on Empire Day at the Royal Albert Hall, on the lines that were given by George Vs command in 1935. It is their Majesties wishes that the concert shall fulfil the same two objects as that of the jubilee year—to exemplify and encourage the nations’ music-making at its best', and benefit musicians in need. It is hoped to be possible to include a small contingent, representative of the Dominions in the concert, which will be broadcast to the Empire.
