CHEQUE FOR £339,600
SOUTHLAND WOOLGROWERS Bv Telegraph —Press Association INVERCARGILL, February 18. The realisation from the first Invercargill wool sale this season was £339,600 compared with £545,350 last year. The offering was 28.123 bales, of which about 2000 were passed. The average price a bale this year was £l3. and although the average per pound has not yet been announced, it is understood that it will be slightly under lOd. The average price for the first sale last year was 15.7 d.
