The Australian cricket team with the exception of Bradman and Badcock, was in action in the Sydney cricket ground to-day, as part of the anniversary celebrations, prior to departure next month for England. The teams were captained by McCabe and Rigg. The weather was perfect but the match was not taken very seriously. Rigg’s team in the first innings made 25” (Rigg 58. Gregory 42, Robinson 53, E. White 5 2). Fleetwood-Smith took six wickets for 106 runs. McCabe’s team in the first innings made 143 for the loss of five wickets (McCabe 11, Fingleton 24, Hassett 54, Chipperfield 36).
