WEST END FAIR
HELPERS AT STALLS A meeting of North End ladies was held on Thursday in the Waimataitai I Schoolroom, when representatives of the West End Bowling and Croquet Clubs, old girls of the school and other interested helpers of the fair attended. Mr G. H. Andrews presided and outlined to the meeting the activities already tn hand by the committees, all work being well forward. The secretary (Mr P. W. Young) I stated that the teachers of the school had agreed to take charge of the ' sweets, soft drinks, and ice cream stalls, and tuat assistance was required for | an arts and crafts stall, cake stall and . supper buffet. Committees were set up as follows: Cake stall, Mesdames E. C. Scales, H. Allchurch, C. Johnstqn, L. E. Brickell. L. Edyvean and S. Home. Arts and crafts: Mesdames W. C. Shelker. A. Paterson. L. Wood, D. McLachlan. S. H. Sullivan. A. B. Stewart, Misses Glennie. Palmer, Bell. Vright and A. Lawrence. Sup- r buffets. Mrs Frampton.
