harrison—McLachlan At St. Michael’s Church, Waihao Downs, on Saturday, Janet Hayes, yo.ingest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. S. McLachlan. Limestone Hills, Waimate, was married to Reginald T. A. Harrison, eldest son of Mr E. B. and the late Mrs Harrison. Vale Terrace. Waihao Downs. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Canon Nelham Watson, assisted by the Rev. F. C. Main. The organist was Mr Keith Osborne. Christchurch. The church was prettily decorated in shades of pink by girl friends of the bride. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful plain-cut frock of starbust crepe with a long tulle veil attached to a Madonna halo. She carried a bouquet of gladioli and heather. The matron of honour was Mrs R. Harrison and the bridesmaids, Miss Helen Fitch and Miss Joan McLachlan, cousin of the bride. They wore ground length frocks of briar pink cloque trimmed with silver, with madonna halos to tone. They carried bouquets of pink and lemon gladioli. The best man was Mr H. Harrison. Rakaia, and the groomsmen, Mr Rupert Harrison, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr Michael Watson. After the ceremony the guests proceeded to Limestone Hills where they were received by Mr and Mrs McLachlan and Mr Harrison. Mrs McLachlan wore an ensemble of black silk crepe relieved with white, and carried a bouquet of cherry carnations and begonias. The bride travelled in a model frock of burgundy crepe with satin collar and vestee, and wore a smart hat to tone. She carried an antelope coat. The future home of Mr and Mrs Harrison will be in Waimate. STEVENS—WILLIAMS
The wedding was solemnised at. the Banks Street Methodist Church by the Rev. James, of Gladys, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Williams and Preston, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Stevens. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a fitting frock of silver run matalasse finished at th' neck and hem with tulle a spray of flowers. Her veil was finished by a tudor headdress of small velvet gardenias. She carried a sheaf of T”es, sweet peas, and maidenhair fern. On leaving the church the bride was presented with satin horseshoe by little Aisla Page of Dunedin. The bride was attended by Miss Gwen Stevens as bridesmaid and Gwen Smith as flower girl. The former wore a frock of patterned blue satin with over tunic of lace. Her blue veil headdress was finished with a band of velvet flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink sweetpeas, dahlias and fern. The latter wore a frock of pink satin finished at the neck sleeves and skirt with net ruched frills. She wore a corresponding frill on her head finished with blue velvet flowers and carried a posy of pink sweetpeas, dahlias and fern. Mr E. Williams was best man. The reception was held at the Stafford tea rooms where Mrs Williams received the guests wearing a frock of wine pin-spotted crepe-doreen with fawn hat and accessories. She carried a bouquet of pink dahlias. The bridegroom’s mother wore a bottlegreen floral frock under a bottlegreen coat with hat to match r"d carried a bouquet of lemon roses. When Mr and Mrs V. Stevens left for the north the bride was wearing a navy pin striped costume and white frilled georgette-blouse with navy hat and carried a navy coat and fur stole the gift of the bridegroom.
