REPORTED KIDNAPPING OF YOUNG GIRL WARNING TO FORD EXECUTIVE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 4, 9.30 p.m.) DETROIT, January 4 Harry Bennett, one of the five highest paid executives of the Ford Motor Company, reported to the police that his daughter, Gertrude, aged 17 years, has been missing since 6 p.m. on Monday. It is significant that Mr Bennett is closely concerned with the labour relations for the company. However, he would not say whether he suspected foul play. Suspicious Circumstances Mr Bennett said he had received warnings recently, both friendly and threatening, to watch out for his wife and two daughters. “The last I saw of Gertrude,” added Mr Bennett, “was on Monday morning, when she went to school. Gertrude phoned her home at 6 p.m., asking her sister to drive to school to pick her up at 8 p.m. The sister arrived and waited until 10 p.m. There were no signs of Gertrude. She reported to her father, who waited for some hours before reporting to the police.
